NIMD and Demo Finland started working together in Myanmar in 2014. The programme in Myanmar has two key aims. The first is to help the politicians from all the political parties to enhance their knowledge and skills for working in a democracy. The second is to develop the practice of collaboration. The programme works on both of these aims by running Schools of Politics where politicians from different parties talk and learn together in a multiparty setting. The first school opened in 2014 and the second in 2015.

This is one of the resources that NIMD and Demo Finland have translated into English and Burmese as a teaching tool in the programme.
