The Westminster Foundation for Democracy (WFD), member of EPD, released the research paper “From Strategy to Implementation. The case of civil society”. The paper was produced in the framework of the project”Political Economy of Democracy Promotion” in collaboration with the International Development Department at the University of Birmingham. It aims to showcase the difficulties encountered by those working to strengthen democracy in implementing their strategies. Focusing on WFD’s current programme in Macedonia, the study examines strategy development and implementation based on existing information about the role of civil society in democratisation and to what extent it manages to benefit from the support of the international community.
