The European Centre for Electoral Support (ECES), OneWorld and the Osservatorio di Pavia have been involved in the implementation of the Programme d’Appui au Processus Electoral in Burkina Faso for the general and presidential elections of November 2015 and for the municipal election in early 2016.

In the context of this programme, partner organisations have supported the creation of CODEL (Convention des Organisations de la Société Civile pour l’Observation Domestique des Elections), a network bringing together 35 organisations from Burkina Faso with a view to promoting transparent, fair and peaceful elections.

This programme has also led to the launch of the platform BurkinaVote.com, a tool providing citizens with data and information on the electoral procedures, and the opening of the Electoral Situation Room, allowing CODEL to follow and coordinate the scrutiny.

You can watch the video resuming the experience of local domestic observers in implementing the Electoral Situation Room here.
