Our partner, People in Need is seeking a new Head of Eastern European Programme within its Centre for Human Rights and Democracy.

For nearly two decades People in Need has been supporting civic groups and individuals from countries with repressive regimes that strive for respect for basic human rights and democracy, and often are target of persecutions, bullying or unlawful arrests because of their opinions or independent activities. The Eastern European Programme is currently focusing on support of civil society in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Moldova/Transnistria, Russia, Ukraine and countries in Central Asia. The main programmatic focus includes:

  • Support of activities of civil society and their capacity building
  • Direct aid to politically persecuted individuals and their families
  • International support and advocacy activities to human rights defenders

More information about the Eastern European Programme can be found here.

You can find more information about this opportunity on People in Need’s website.

Interested candidates please submit your CV and motivation letter by 02.10.2016 via e-mail to Mr. Jakub Zais [email protected]. Interviews with shortlisted candidates will take place in the first half of October.
