The Civil Network “OPORA” has observed a number of trends in the run-up to Ukraine’s local elections, to be held next month. Monitors have voiced concerns about media freedom, early campaigning before the official registration of candidates, and the provision of goods or services by political parties, which would be considered voter bribery after the official registration of electoral candidates takes place.  The full list of findings can be downloaded here

EPD previously collaborated with OPORA to strengthen democratic institutions on the national level and provide a proper legislative base for the 2014 legislative elections in Ukraine. More about that project, its aims and outcomes can be found here.
