This report is the result of the seminar organised in Libreville, Gabon, on December 2012 by the Organisation Internationale de la Francophonie (OIF) in partnership with the Réseau des compétences électorales francophones (RECEF), the National Autunomous and Permanent Electoral Commission of Gabon (CENAP) and ECES. The seminar aimed at exchanging experiences on the introduction of technologies in electoral processes, especially on voter and civil registration. As a result of this workshop, OIF, RECEF and ECES published this report, which analyses in depth the challenges and advantages of introducing biometrics in electoral processes.
